Our team was involved as a consultant and advisor on the Spectrum Center Renovation project in early 2020 and later served as project manager, overseeing the renovations to the arena. CAA ICON previously provided a broad scope of work including a facility assessment, market and financial feasibility analysis, project development plan, deal structure/lease analysis, and negotiating advisory with the City of Charlotte. The result is $275 million in public money to finance both arena renovations and a new practice facility across the street.
The substantial renovations updated and upgraded the nearly 20-year-old facility and included enhancements to the entrances, seating bowl, premium areas, concessions, restrooms, roof, and other facility systems and spaces.
