Our team has been involved as a consultant and advisor on the Spectrum Center Renovation project since early 2020 and is currently serving as project manager to oversee the renovations to the arena. CAA ICON previously provided a broad scope of work including a venue assessment, feasibility analysis, project development plan, deal structure/lease analysis, and negotiation support with the City of Charlotte. The result is a total of $275 million in City investment for arena upgrades and a new player performance enhancement center, which will be built separately from the arena.
The substantial renovations will update and upgrade the nearly 20-year-old facility and will include enhancements to the entrances, seating bowl, premium areas, concessions, restrooms, roof, and other facility systems and spaces. The renovations will primarily take place during NBA off-seasons, and are expected to be completed in 2026.
