New home
UBS Arena serves as the home of the National Hockey League’s New York Islanders. CAA ICON was retained to evaluate the economic impacts associated with the project as well as oversee the end-to-end project management of all Furniture, Fixtures, and Equipment (FF&E) and Owner-Direct procurement for the new arena.

Economic Impact
CAA ICON was engaged to understand how the economy would be affected by the development of a new arena by quantifying the economic impacts from the construction period as well as the impacts of recurring operations. Our team evaluated such impacts such as facility-related spending and patron spending on key items outside the venue including restaurants, hotels, retail, transportation, and others.
Owner-Direct
Owner-direct procurement can vary significantly from project to project. During the UBS Arena project, CAA ICON managed the procurement and installation of the Converged Network System; Theatrical Lighting and Ice Projection Systems; Front of House and Back of House Furniture Packages; Premium and Concession Signage; Food Service Portable Carts; and Building and Event Operations Equipment. CAA ICON managed the full FF&E budget and associated schedule, and completed the scope of work on schedule and under budget.
