More than an event centre, Scotia Place offers a unique and entertaining space, where visitors can gather to experience community and connection. The venue is one of the few event centres in North America, where the outside is designed with places for people, on all four sides. The 10-acre city block includes a community rink, outdoor and indoor plazas spaces, four restaurants, the Calgary Flames Team Store, and future development opportunity in the northeast corner.

An 18,400-seat NHL-regulation arena will be the focal point of the new development, along with an attached multi-story parkade with exterior artwork, a future redevelopment site, and a new community rink that will seat up to 1,000 spectators.
