Modernization
The Palais Omnisports de Paris-Bercy (POPB), built in 1984, is an indoor sports and entertainment arena located in the 12th arrondissement of Paris. With a capacity of up to 17,000-seats, POPB enjoyed much success in 2010 and placed fourth worldwide in the Pollstar rating system. In 2011, the City of Paris decided to issue a tender calling for the submission of renovation plans to modernize the multipurpose arena so it can stay on top for years to come.
Services Provided
CAA ICON was hired by the then-operator of the venue to evaluate their renovation plans and provide a professional opinion about the already existing preliminary cost estimate and drawings prepared by the architectural firm DVVD. CAA ICON's efforts in Paris were supported by the quantity surveying company Sterling Quest Associates.
