CAA ICON was the Project Manager of the $36.4 million Public Plaza and Entertainment Block just east of the new Milwaukee Bucks Arena. The Entertainment Block is an indoor and outdoor social space that promotes a variety of activities for the users of the arena and is a connection between the arena and the adjacent developments. Year-round programming and activities have been planned in the Entertainment Block including outdoor concerts, water features, farmers markets, basketball tournaments, winter ice skating and other family activities. A large beer garden with outdoor LED video/TV screen is the focal point of the Public connector alley that leads patrons from the front of the new Arena to Old World 3rd Street to the east of the Entertainment Block. A mix of Sports Bar, local brewery and family entertainment within the new buildings draws families from across the region.
CAA ICON was the Project Manager of the new $35.9 million City of Milwaukee funded Parking Structure which is attached to the new Bucks Arena via a skybridge connection. This 1250 space parking garage is conveniently located directly north of the new Arena and provides parking for the entire Arena district. The parking structure was thoughtfully designed to provide the very low exiting times for a full capacity event by utilizing a speed ramp on it’s north end as well as utilizing the adjacent 5th Street for continuous exiting lanes onto the main road to the north, Mckinley Blvd. The highest level of security, lighting, and transparent/glass stairwells and elevators lend to public safety. Other features such as internal bicycle parking, electric car charging stations, heated stairwells, colored graphics and a perforated exterior metal panel cladding system enhance the overall feel of the parking structure.
CAA ICON provided the full scope of Project Management services for both the Entertainment Block/Plaza and the Parking Structure:
- Plan and Organize
