Historic Expansion

The NWSL awarded the league’s 16th franchise to Denver, Colorado. The ownership group will develop a temporary stadium and training facility and multi-field sports complex in Centennial, and a state-of-the-art stadium and recreational district in the Denver urban core. The 14,500-seat permanent stadium will be the first purpose-built sports district for professional women’s sports in Colorado. The development will be adjacent to the Broadway Light Rail station and will include a 3.5-acre park, as well as future mixed-use development including retail and dining.

Team Effort

CAA ICON and CAA Evolution prepared the expansion bid’s business plan, the ownership group’s application to the league, and presented to the NWSL expansion committee. The teams also structured and negotiated potential public-private partnerships for the club’s future training facility, temporary stadium, and eventual permanent stadium.
