Transforming
Recognized by USA Today as the most fan-friendly arena in the NBA, Ball Arena has set an enduring standard for its high-energy seating bowl and intimacy between players and fans. The new home for the Denver Nuggets and Colorado Avalanche opened on-schedule and under budget in October 1999 and transformed an abandoned railroad yard in Denver’s Central Platte Valley into a brilliant new entertainment destination hosting more than 250 events in its first year.
A Valuable Asset
With its massive negative slope glass facade and marble interiors, no other arena compares in terms of value, especially considering its $115 million or $170/sf construction cost. A first ever asset backed financing was devised, which secured the entire project financing pledging specific and limited arena revenue streams allowed the teams to have completely unencumbered new income.
