Overview
The Dallas Mavericks have played at American Airlines Center, the arena they share with the Dallas Stars, since it opened in 2001. The Mavericks were exploring options for a new basketball-only arena and hired CAA ICON to assist with understanding the market and financial considerations as well as assist with deal and lease matters.

Results
The Dallas Mavericks lease at American Airlines Center expires in 2031, and the team plans to play in their new arena for the 2031-2032 NBA season. The new arena and entertainment district will be located on a 104-acre site at the former Valley View Mall location in North Dallas. In addition to a state-of-the-art, basketball-only arena, the new complex will feature a practice facility, hotels, retail shops, restaurants, and public green spaces.
