Planning is well underway for a safe and healthy 2021 Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. Our 35,000-plus volunteers are gearing up to welcome Rodeo fans back to NRG Park to participate in our community-wide celebration of Western heritage, scheduled for March 2 – March 21.
While planning, we are taking a multi-pronged approach that includes task forces, collaborating with Houston area venues and sports teams, evaluating community feedback, and working closely with medical experts and local officials, as well as community stakeholders on planning the 2021 Rodeo...
...Leveraging NRG Park and the Harris County Sports & Convention Corporation’s partnership with CAA ICON, the industry-leading strategic consulting firm for sports and entertainment facility owners and operations, professional franchise and leagues. CAA ICON reviewed NRG Park's reopening plan and evaluated best practices across 50 leagues and venues. As other venues reopen, we – along with CAA ICON and NRG Park – will continue to monitor, evaluate, update and implement best practices.
