Wednesday, the Raiders hosted two veterans in Kenneth Brooks, who served on two tours in Vietnam as a member of the U.S. Army, and Dwayne Rucker, a member of the U.S. Marine Corps for a private tour of the team's stadium site in Las Vegas...
Following the special trip around the construction site, the Raiders presented Brooks and Rucker each with a service dog. As Brandon Doll, the Raiders VP of Strategy and Business Development and a Navy veteran explained, both Brooks and Rucker had been on a waiting list to receive service dogs for more than a year. The Raiders wanted to guarantee that they didn't have to wait any longer.
..."It's a fantastic opportunity for these vets, for the Raiders Foundation to come in," Shannon Miller of CAA ICON said. "They're providing the choice of a dog. They're going to pay the vet bills, they're going to pay for the training."
