The City of Oklahoma City hired an outside firm, which is no stranger to big projects like NBA arenas, to help with the city’s new arena.

To help the city navigate how our new arena will look and exactly what will go into it, the city council members approved hiring CAA ICON, a professional consulting firm. They will oversee the architects, construction and the eventual completion of the new arena.

"These buildings are very complicated and there are lots of different technologies that go into them,” said Dan Vaillant, president of development of CAA ICON.

The company’s portfolio includes the arena the Milwaukee Bucks play in, the Golden 1 Center in Sacramento, California, and the Intuit Dome in Los Angeles, just to name a few.

"Take all of the good things in those buildings and combine them into this building so you can get the latest and greatest and best possible design solution for your budget,” Vaillant said.
