Ian Ayre visits the Nashville SC stadium construction site twice each week. But for the first time Thursday, the club’s chief executive officer can envision the spot where attacking midfielder Hany Mukhtar would score a free kick.

“You’re standing in a very special place, I would say,” Ayre said to the media, who stood on what will become a natural grass field.

Nashville SC hosted media members for an on-site tour of the stadium, showcasing the three-level steel beam structures at the south end, which will continue along the east and west wings. Also on display was the first level of concrete in place for a safe-standing supporters’ section at the north end..
