The privately financed project will retain the Pat Bowlen Fieldhouse indoor practice field, as well as two outdoor practice fields. The team HQ, originally built in 1990, will be replaced with a three-story, 205,000 sf training facility and HQ connected to the Bowlen Fieldhouse. A third outdoor practice field will also be added. The project will increase the existing training facility by 30%.
The contemporary design is reflective of Colorado and will focus on player health and performance. The layout emphasizes efficiency, as evidenced by the seamless connection between the new facility and weight room, indoor practice field, and walk-through area. The first floor features an expanded locker room, sports performance areas, and meeting rooms. Football operations will be on the second floor, and business operations will be located on the third floor.
