CSU's new on-campus stadium could have been completed in time for the coming football season had it followed a typical timeline.

..."This has been longer than normal; it's been more methodical," Romani said. "… We normally move much, much quicker."
That was by design, CSU spokesman Mike Hooker said. The university wanted to gather as much information as possible before deciding whether to move forward with plans to replace Hughes Stadium, which has been home to the school's football team since 1968.
